Portable
air conditioning systems
A portable air conditioner is an appliance that
can be placed anywhere in your office or home. These will
require a ventilation point usually a pipe put out of a window,
like you would with a tumble dryer. These portable air conditioning
devices transfer heat from inside your home to the outside.
Some models also feature filters that can clean the air.
What you should look for in
a portable air conditioning unit
With air conditioning units there capacity to cool is measured
in BTU's (British Thermal Units) the greater this number
the more powerful the unit is and the greater area it can
cool. For example a 10000 BTU air conditioner will have sufficient
power to cool a sunny room of up to 17 square meters.
